North West Therapy & Hypnosis & Clinical Hypnosis Practitioner Mayo
A warm welcome to North West Therapy and Hypnosis.
My aim is to provide an empathetic, effective, empirically grounded therapy service. In a time where many find themselves under immense pressure; often feeling overwhelmed, it is vital to highlight that areas such as stress, anxiety, panic attacks and sleep difficulties among others, can be effectively treated in a relatively short space of time, with long term gains.

Skills Training Approach – Skills for Life
Taking a skills training approach to therapy, I train my clients in self – help techniques. I ensure clients have a range of tools and resources fundamental to health and wellbeing. I treat you as an individual; aiming to ensure you obtain the very best out of each session. The treatment plans I put together are based on substantiated principles and protocols of cognitive behavioural therapy, utilising hypnosis to increase effectiveness. The evidence basis for this integration means the effectiveness of the therapy you receive increases significantly. One leaves the consultation room with a feeling of wellbeing, developing psychological resilience and confidence in their ability to deal with life’s difficulties.
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH)
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) uncovered as one of the most evidence based therapeutic interventions, available today in the field of psychology and psychotherapy. The therapy gained recognition by the British Medical Association and the American Medical Association in the 1950’s. Recent research includes brain-imaging data, clinical trials and laboratory experiments to name but a few. It is recognised by the American Psychological Association, The British Psychological Society and is used by the NHS.
Informed in what constitutes as valid and reliable research, I am dedicated to continuously studying and researching in the area of psychology, psychotherapy, mindfulness, hypnosis and related fields. Adhering to the principles of evidence-based practice provides clients with the confidence that the treatment they receive will work and very importantly, that it will result in long-term benefits.
Discovering inner strengths – enhancing enjoyment of life
In my view, it is important that therapy makes sense to clients. I place emphasis on practical skills; on educating, empowering and motivating my clients. Research clearly reveals that empowering clients to gain control in their lives, results in psychological resilience and impacts positively on health.
Wishing you all the best,
